I don’t know what is it about Christmas but I just LOVE the festival. I love everything about the festival. The whole Christmassy feeling is sooooo good. X’mas tree, Santa Claus, Crib, Cakes & pastries, Cold weather, lovely gifts and even the Mass. Though it’s been years since I have attended the Midnight Mass but I still eagerly await Christmas every single year.Maybe it’s got to do with the fact that my dad started it all when I was a kid we were asked to hang our socks on Christmas Eve and anxiously wait for our gifts and walk to the Church at Midnight for a small prayer and the some cracker show too. Its wasn’t like the gifts were something big or anything , it could be anything from a toy that I have been longing for to a fountain pen that I like in the store during our last visit or maybe a comic book but it was the surprise that mattered. We would make loud wishes and prayers before Christmas for our gifts from Santa to ensure that my dad had a hint of what to get.
I love the late night dinner with family and friends (and the off late fancy for wine just adds to the longing)
And with Christmas just round the corner I am getting all excited. I can’t wait for it to come.

I have always liked Xmas as well. I never appreciated it fully to the time I started living in London. The best part is that the faceless people of the city that seems to be running to and from work seem to acquire a character and a soul. The magic is all around you and all you need to do is join in the festive cheer.
This year Xmas will be spent with some mulled wine, lots of xmas pudding, and most importantly some dear friends. Hopefully its snows here this year and if it does you know what you will be missing....

yeah i totally agree with u...i love christmas. i remember waiting up late night on christmas eve hoping to catch a glimpse of santa coming down the chiminey, putting out a plate of cookies for him...but i figured out pretty early that santa was indeed mom and dad when i looke at santas handwriting and it looked exactly like my moms! LOL.
