I support the Nanhi Kali Project. Today on Children’s day I am reminded of the best social cause advertisement that I have seen till date to save the girl child.
It was in Marathi years ago on Doordarshan where they show a very small baby girl with her hands and legs tied up, eyes covered with a piece of cloth and mouth covered with a tape. Slowly a hand begins to open the eyes, removes the tape, free the hands and the legs and in the background you hear a voice over which goes like… (For those who don’t know Marathi kindly excuse me)
Kahi Janmdaate aapalya mulinna…
…janm bhar zakadhun thevatat…
…Ugda teeche dole…
pahudya teela jagaa kade…
…shikun savarun…
Vyakt karu dyaa…
